Jens Bjørn-Larsen
Professor of tuba at the Hochschule für Musik in Hannover
Jens Bjørn-Larsen has received a number of national and international awards. In 1991 he won the 1st prize at the “Concours International d‘Execution Musicale” in Geneva, an event which marked the start of an unusual solo career for a tuba player. From 1987 to 2005 Jens Bjørn-Larsen has been principal tuba with the Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. He is lecturer at the Conservatories in Malmö and Copenhagen. In 2002 Jens Bjørn-Larsen was appointed Professor of tuba at the Hochschule für Musik in Hannover.
