Namho Kim

Tuba-Solist und Dozent an der Korea National University of Arts Mr Namho Kim studied with professor Mel Culbertson in France and graduated from the Conservatoire National de Région in Perpignan. There he was member of numerous ensembles like the Lyon Tuba Ensemble, Bordeaux Tuba Ensemble and Perpignan Brass quintet. Furthermore he participated at the World Tuba Festival in Italy and the Mel Culbertson Tuba Festival. Namho Kim was awarded 1st prize of Seoul City University competition and 3rd prize of Jeju International Brass competition. He also had many tuba recitals such as Seoul university in 2001, Lyon and Paris in 2004, Youngsan art hall in Korea on 2006 and at Sejong art center in Korea on 2008. Actually he is lecturer at the Korea National University of Arts and the Sungsil Conservatory. Besides that he is member of the Academia Brass quintet and very active as a tuba soloist.
